We Lay Solid & Engineered Flooring
Nail-down or glue-down, the proper method of hardwood floor laying is dictated by the type of base and all our clients can rest assured we will take the right approach to it. FloorWorks use high quality, low VOC adhesives from Bona, Wacol and Mapei.
Our service comes with subfloor damp levels checks, damp-proofing (if required) and all our floating installations, come with free advice on insulation and base levelling.
Secret nailing (nail-down) is highly recommended with solid wood flooring laid over wooden subfloors as it creates strong bond that can safely secure the contraction of the hardwood between seasons.
Floating is ideal for engineered and laminate floors - it allows the flooring to be laid with layer of underlay, which can tackle sound proofing or damp proofing issues. It also the recommended installation for properties / flats with shared walls and ceilings.
