As a specialist in parquet flooring, we supply a selection of blocks from stock with immediate availability. All our blocks are tongue-and-grooved, with double gripped base for stronger bonding and come in prime, natural and rustic grade. Our blocks fitting services comes with tailored to clients’ needs finish.For floors with underfloor heating we recommend Boen’s range of engineered parquet flooring.
We Lay Solid & Engineered Flooring
Nail-down or glue-down, the proper way to hardwood floor installation is dictated by the type of subfloor and all our clients can rest assured we will take the right approach to it. FloorWorks use strong, low VOC adhesives from Bona, Wacol and Mapei.
Our service comes with subfloor moisture levels testing, damp-proofing (if required) and all our floating installations, come with free consultation on insulation and base levelling.
Our flooring services offer various types of laying methods depending on the product type. We do nail-down, glue-down and floating installation.
Secret nailing (nail-down) is highly recommended with solid wood flooring laid over wooden subfloors as it creates strong bond that can safely secure the contraction of the hardwood between seasons.
Floating is ideal for engineered and laminate floors - it allows the flooring to be laid with layer of underlay, which can tackle sound proofing or damp proofing issues. It also the recommended installation for properties / flats with shared walls and ceilings.
