We Lay Solid & Engineered Flooring
Nail-down or glue-down, the proper method of hardwood floor installation is dictated by the type of subfloor and all our clients can rest assured we will take the right approach to it. FloorWorks use high quality, health-friendly adhesives from Bona, Wacol and Mapei.
Our service comes with subfloor moisture levels checks, damp-proofing (if required) and all our floating installations, come with free advice on insulation and base levelling.
Our flooring services offer various types of laying methods depending on the product type. We do nail-down, glue-down and floating installation.
Secret nailing (nail-down) is highly recommended with solid wood flooring laid over wooden subfloors as it creates strong bond that can safely secure the contraction of the hardwood between seasons.

The London Borough of Hackney is situated in the east end of London and forms parts of inner London. It consist of the following wards Brownswood, Cazenove, Chatham, Clissold, Dalston, De Beauvoir, Hackney Central, Hackney Downs, Haggerston, Hoxton, Kings Park, Leabridge, Lordship, New River, Queensbridge, Springfield, Stoke Newington Central, Victoria and Wick. Amongst the 1,300 listed buildings in the borough, are the iconic grade II* Hackney Empire, Tudor Sutton House, and the grade I medieval St Augustine's tower. The borough was formed in 1965 from the former area of metropolitan boroughs of Hackney, Shoreditch and Stoke Newington. The new council adopted elements of its constituents in the new coat of arms, the motto is Justitia turris nostra, translated as Being fair is what makes us strong. Some of the parts of the borough have a rich history. The first London?s Tudor theatres were built in Shoreditch and the Gunpowder Plot was first exposed near Hoxton. Alfred Hitchcock made many of his first films in Hoxton at the Gainsborough Studios in Poole Street. |
